Toni Braxton's 'You're Makin' Me High' an ode to Sex and Drugs

Confirming what most music fans already knew, R&B songstress Toni Braxton reveals her hit song ‘You’re Makin’ Me High’ was about smoking and fucking. On a recent episode of VH1’s Behind The Music Ms. Braxton says right before she wrote the song, she got high for the first time and the experience is reflected in the sex-tinged lyrics of the tune.

“A week before writing the song I was introduced to marijuana, and I got high for the first time. In the bridge, I’m singing ‘I want to feel your heart and soul inside of me / Let’s make a deal you roll, I lick / And we can go flying into ecstasy’, I was talking about [smoking a joint].”

Here’s the video for the song, in which her and her friends make a game out of rating guys.
