Junior Turner has been creating quite the name for himself with his blend of modern and retro R&B sounds. As we’ve written previously, he’s based in the UK where he first gained attention with a single for BBC Children in Need and later with his cover version of the classic The Impossible Dream. While promoting his BBC single, a song of his called Say Good Bye became the theme song for Help for Heroes, a war veteran’s charity. Stringing together a series of hit single, he’s worked with some of the biggest producers and musicians in the industry who’ve helped him craft a sound we’ve previously compared to Atlantic and Motown artists.
But he’s changed it up a little on us this time!
Hurricane is a mid-tempo accoustic-based song with a rich texture of strings that add to it’s inspirational mood. It presents the listener with a ‘don’t give up, never surrender’ message. Turner explains the song is about Karma. It connects!
