Fox & Mew Bring That Funk Back

The latest release Make It from Fox & Mew’s EP Fox & Mew-in cahoots is one example of how the funky and soulful sounds of early music deeply influences some of the most viral tracks of today. Their single Make It is a sleek alloy of pop, funk, and soul that crosses sound and time borders.

Music fans that enjoy the sounds of English band Sweetback and Groove Theory will be drawn into the sounds of Fox & Mew. Make It contains just the right elements to deliver smooth rhythms, honey-drenched vocals, and soulful ambiance while still pounding out a sharp danceable track. Fox, who got his start in music at the age of 12 is a musician and producer known for his work with numerous bands as a lead-guitarist as well as his current work with Sneaky-Creek. Mew, a professional vocalist is known as a “vocal chameleon” who can adapt to almost any genre ranging from pop to rock, and house to name a few. Also a songwriter and producer, Mew covers a wide variety of genres and recently has been working her magic in the world of electronic dance music. Their latest EP, Fox & Mew-”in cahoots” is a commercial-ready fusion of funk, soul, and disco influences with modern appeal.
